Humanities grants are dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation and public programs in the humanities.
The humanities are those academic disciplines that study the expressions of human beings and reveal what it means to be human.
Studies normally included in the humanities are literature, writing, language studies, along with the study of all the traditional art forms such as: music, painting, sculpture, dance, poetry, etc.
Humanities grants are awarded to both business and individuals. $20 million is set aside for 197 humanities projects.
