Community Development
Community development also known as community building focuses on improving local communities. Community grants are authorized on a graduated scale. Smaller communities, with lower population and low incomes will receive a higher percentage of the community grants.
Community grant funds can be used to construct, enlarge, or improve community facilities for health care, public safety, and community public services. Grants are available to public entities such as counties, municipalities, and special purpose districts, as well as non profit organizations and tribal governments.
Community grant assistance may be available for up to 75% of project costs. Community development is a great way to help improve and better your community.
